If you ever visit Tokyo (or Kyoto for that matter), rent a bike. THE best way to see large parts of the city in a short amount of time. I rented a bike at Tokyo Bikes
for ¥3,000. It opens at 10:00 and close at 19:30 so if you show up early you can do quite a lot in a day, just remember to rent the bike one day in advance.
As I rode around Yanakan and Ueno I came upon some people dancing in a park, they all wore yukata's and danced in sync
A man playing what I believe to be a "shamisen".
I wasn't sure at the time, but I think I was in Ueno park
I biked along the Sumida river as the sun was setting
The golden turd ;)
The Ryogoku Kokugikan (famous for it's sumo wrestling events)
Biked along the alleyways of Akihabara
Got back to the Tokyo Bike shop at 18:30 and had rented the bike for 6 hours by then
Got a free beer as I delivered the key's
